GAS DETECTION METERS

The gas detection meters have three benefits: they provide air quality control, assure safety in environments where dangerous gases are present and conserve electricity, because the ventilation equipment runs only when required. Other gases include CO2 for indoor air quality, Diesel fumes detection for bus and truck terminals and unloading areas, Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) for numerous industrial and office applications, R-123 refrigerant detection, and O2 deficiency detection.

The CEL4 multipoint gas detection meters support up to 4 remote sensors in any gas combination using a 4-wire RS-485 communications network. The CEL4 offers installers a wide variety of outputs including relays for fan activation and a proportional 4-20 mA signal for variable control and monitoring by a building automation system. The panel has a digital readout indicating gas concentrations in PPM for each point and LEDs for fan trigger and alarm levels.

Units shall be fully electronic incorporating solid-state circuitry with electronic board, factory calibrated at different levels, depending on the number of gas detection meters desired. The PPM levels depend on the gas desired. Electronic board shall incorporate visual indicators seen through unit cover for "power on", and provide a bar graph or LED display indicating the concentration of CO in the space.

The CEL Series centralized gas detection meters and control system can monitor up to 32 remote detectors via a 4-wire RS-485 daisy-chain communication link, reducing installation costs.
